There are only three major peaks in Tibet which the Tibet Mountaineering Department has given permission for climbing; these mountains are Mt. Everest 8,848m (which can also be climbed from the Nepal side), Mt. Cho-Oyu 8,201m and Mt. Shishpangma 8,013m.  These mountains are most demanded with the greatest respect and those participating in either of these climbing programs will need to be of a high standard of fitness. These giants mountains are technically difficult but any mountain over 8000m.

Everest ExpeditionMt. Everest is also called Chomolangma Peak in Tibetan, Sagarmatha in Nepali, Chajamlungma in Limbu and Zhumulangma Peak in Chinese. It is the highest mountain on this Earth as measured by the height from the above sea level. It is located on the border between Sagarmatha Zone, Nepal, and Tibet, China.

Cho-Oyu Expedition (8,201m)Mt. Cho Oyu is the sixth highest mountain of the world. It lies in the Himalayas at 20 km to the west of Mount Everest at the border between Tibet and Nepal. Cho Oyu means "Turquoise Goddess" in Tibetan. This mountain was first attempted in 1952 by an expedition organized

Shishapangma Expedition (8,013m) Mt. Shishapangma is located in south-central of Tibet and few kilometers from the border with Nepal. It is the highest peak in the Jugal Himal, which is contiguous with and often considered a part of the Langtang Himal.

Mt. Lhakpa-Ri Expedition (7,045m)Mt. Lhakpa Ri is becoming very famous expedition in Tibet. It divides the upper east Rombuk and Kharta glacier. It is much closer to Mt. Everest and one feels as equal to climbed Mount Everest the moment, one reaches on the top of this mountain.

Gurla Mandata ExpeditionMt. Gurla Mandata is the highest peak of the Nalakankar Himal of Tibet, which is situated very close by the sacred called the mountain Kailash. It lies in Burang County of the Ngari Prefecture in the Tibet Autonomous Region of China and to the northwest corner of Nepal.
