It is one of the most adventures trek in the Himalaya only for experienced hikers or climbers. The trek can be start from Lukla or Tumlingtar where the trekking trails enter the highest valley in the world to begin your journey to the base of Mt. Makalu, the fifth highest mountain in the world (8,481m).The route offers opportunity to explore cloud-forest jungle, high alpine terrain, orchids and rural farm and market villages and cross along the Pass yak pastures towards the endless ice fields of Mt. Makalu, Baruntse and Sherpani col. In the lower of this region are dominated Rai, Sherpa, and Shingsawa (Bhotia) farmers. They are the preserver of unique biological and cultural resources of the area. The forest of the region shelters the endangered red panda and musk deer, Ghoral, Himalayan Tahr and leopard and more than 400 bird species, at least 16 of which are extremely rare.
